CHICKEN TIKKA DHANSAK

What do you do when you don't fancy cooking? Or maybe don't have time? We came up with this sneaky BUDGET CURRY idea, and we're using it to make a fabulous CHICKEN TIKKA DHANSAK tonight.
If you do have time to cook, then why not try our LOW CALORIE beef curry? We love cooking this LAZY BEEF CURRY recipe because it's easy, spicy and most of all, won't break the bank. The secret is the budget cut of meat - BRISKET of beef. But ... if you don't have time - here's an idea:
Occasionally... we'll have a takeaway, and when we do we order a separate tub of our favourite curry sauce which we pop in the freezer for later. Then, when we are feeling really lazy - like today - we use the curry sauce with our own meat/fish or vegetables.
Tonight I'll cube some chicken breast and marinate in tikka curry powder. Then all I need to do is fry the chicken and add to the heated sauce. One 'takeaway' curry! I've no idea how many calories are in the dhansak sauce, but I'm not too bothered as Friday-Sunday we enjoy a full calorie allowance. The chicken breast is low in calories and will help balance out the meal nicely.

REMEMBER: We all have a calorie allowance - do you know yours?
We began our weight loss journey in January 2011 - and began our blog in June 2011. Here's a link to the first post. (here's the link).
We like to post our main meals to show you what CAN be eaten. You won’t find us posting every last morsel though – but we hope this gives you an idea of how far calories can go! I'm currently going through the photographs and replacing them with more website friendly versions which will allow the blog to load quickly.
