Yoghurt for breakfast

YOGHURT AND FRUIT BREAKFASTThick and creamy greek yoghurt - just add your favourite fresh fruit. Seasonal fruits are always the best as their natural sweetness means you don't have to add sugar etc. See our tip below if your fruit needs sweetening up. We are anxiously awaiting the English strawberry season. Here's what 80g of yoghurt and 60g of fruit and a little honey looks like - at 150 calories. We're following this with some toast.
As long ago as June 2011 we first posted (here's the link) how we lost weight eating good food - and when it comes to yoghurt we love our full fat greek yoghurt. This was our first blog post, setting out our NON-DIET RULES. We were so excited because we had already lost a lot of weight, which
continued - and today our weight is incredibly stable and we haven't put the weight back on.
Our menu plan for the weekend is a mixture of fish and meat.
Saturday we'll probably grab a sandwich at lunch if we're in a hurry, and we've bought some monkfish for this evening. We're thinking about recipes.
Sunday we have a brisket of beef - and we'll be slow cooking that one.
We've got some clams and prawns, so if we have time we may make some pasta too.
TIP: If your fruit is too tart, chop and sprinkle with a little sugar then leave to marinate for five minutes. This will produce a sweet syrup. We would use around half a teaspoon of sugar per 100g of fruit - it's surprising how little you need to achieve the desired result. You can also use FROZEN mixed fruit - just defrost and gently heat through with a teaspoon of icing sugar, leave to cool and refrigerate until required.

TIP:  - Do you know how many calories you are allowed each day?
Here's a link to our very first blog post about our weight loss journey, which we began in January 2011. We started this blog as a way of recording what we ate while losing weight. The blog is a food diary, and contains lots of recipes, tips and ideas about losing weight.
You'll find our WEIGHT LOSS PLAN here.
