A typical Saturday lunch (like today) for when we are rushing around is a quick sandwich. Today we're eating sausage sandwiches. We use our local butcher and buy some great tasting sausages - with a very high meat content (leaving the fat behind). We fried the sausages in a little olive oil and cooked out some of the fat. With a couple of slices of lightly buttered bread, this lunch is around a very tasty 500 calories.
Tonight we're having a treat. For a change we're eating rack of lamb cooked with a variety of vegetables! It'll be different and we're really looking forward to it - I'll post the recipe later.
The weather looks as if it will hold out, and we'll wrap up and go for a good stroll after our lunch goes down.
